Internet can be a dangerous place . There are a number of hackers and fraudsters trying to get into your personal information .  And there is just one thing that prevents them from getting into your personal data .

Your Password

So always maintain ultra caution while choosing your password . Here are list of do’s and dont’s that you should keep in mind while setting your password :

1. Keep it hard to guess : Don’t put any type of your personal information here . Neither do use the name of your favorite celebrity , book etc .

2. Be careful in choosing the security question : Security questions are used to regain your account if you loose password . Keep such a question which no one could guess but you .

3. Use a non-dictionary term : Use a term that doesn’t appear in the dictionary . Many hacking programs like Brute Force are dependent on dictionary terms to crack your password .

4. Keep a long password : A long password is always hard to crack compared to short one .

5. Mix the Case : Passwords are case sensitive . So use both upper and lower case in your password . Will be a tough task to crack .

6. Include Special characters : Use special characters like @,$,! in your password .

7. Use master password : Employ the use of strong password manager system like Mozilla Firefox employs . Very handy to manage multiple secure passwords with automate login feature .

8. Clear the cookies : If your internet connection breaks down while you were in a session and you are still logged into your account , be careful in deleting the cookies and closing your browser before leaving the desk .

9. Be careful in cyber cafes : You must have heard about keyloggersKeylogger is a software program or hardware device that is used to monitor and log each of the keys a user types into a computer keyboard. Anyone can install it into their system to have a crack at your password . So always follow these guidelines while browsing in Cyber Cafes or public computers .

10. Use different password for different sites : Never use same password for multiple sites . That way , if one password is gone , all password are gone .
