6th June 2008 . Last year , on this very day I decided to conduct an experiment . Bored of chatting and social networking , I decided to experiment with the thing called blogging . At that time , I didn’t knew if I will be really committed to my blog , or will it be gone too , like all other things which fail to interest me after a couple of days .

I am more than surprised that its been one year and I am still dedicated to  blogging . So much so , that I have transferred my blog from wordpress.com to my own domain . And now I have all the bases covered . Its Home Run . One year in running

And thanks to everyone from blogosphere who has helped to make this journey so wonderful , everyone on my blogroll , my reader and all those who have visited my blog even once (except all the bots who look so keen to comment on each and every post of mine  ) ….

The thing is that I really liked each and every moment of this journey . Today when I reflect back to my posts , it feels really great to see all the memories bundled up at one place … a place from everyone can sneek into my world …. my magical world .

Second sessionals are going on . Having not appeared for the first sessionals , its really important for me to score good marks in DBMS this time around . But here I am . Instead of struggling with SQL , I am spending my time here , chatting , blogging , and blah-blah-ing at twitter .

You know what I used to be two years back in intermediate ??? I was like , say , even if there was an exam next week , its time to spend some a lot of  time with the books ????  No television , no time pass , no nothing … and excuse me , what is Internet ?? A classic example of a study bug … a mugger . Had it not been the desk rotation policy in classes , I guess I would have been a first bencher all the way . And guess what … I secured 100% attendance in High School and was also awarded “Most Disciplined Student” ( Disciplined ??? ahemm ahemm…).  Elected as a captain twice in a row ,  92.8% in Xth , 94% in XIIth , my teachers still set my case as an example for the juniors .

And now , two years from then , I have totally turned into a study repellant creature . What has got into me ?? Is this the transition from school to college ?? Can’ be . I still find the existence of a number of muggers here. They study , study , study , study and study ( just like I used to do ) . And when I tag them “book worms” I realize that two years back , someone would have tagged me with the same title too . Is that the reason ( the fear of being mocked at ) that has transformed a mugger ?? Or is this caused due to the lack of parent’s supervision in hostel ?? God only Knows !!!

Now as exams approach , everyone seems to be reminding me a few things again and again …..

• Semesters are approaching . Start studying now . ( As if studying would delay the semesters )

• Books are supposed to be your best friend ( I thought Dog was my best friend ) .

• Don’t construct any destructive plans of cheating in theory exams ( cheats are only to be used in practicals ) .

• Put a halt to your online activities for some time . No one will hack your account during your absence . ( Me and my hackophobia )

• No Counter Strike . No NFS . No AOE for few days . ( That’s just a game . You don’t need to escape a hot pursuit . Neither are the terrorists planting a bomb under your nose )

• Facebook is your enemy . Twitter is monstrous . Orkut is banned anyway .

• Stop posting nonsense on your blog for few days . There is no need to reveal your insanity to the whole world .

It was last but one week of april ….. Third sessionals were goin on …. and as usual I was sitting in my home …. as I did for almost every month last two semesters …….

But what should I do ???…..Nothing to study…..all friends still in the college…..others busy for entrance exams ……. as usual I relied on my PC for engaging me …. suddenly read somewhere about something called adsense – earn money at home ….. sounds interesting …. but wait a minute …… you need to have a blog or a site to use it ….. hmmm twist in the tale …. no problem ….. will make blog to implement adsense …. piece of cake…..

On which topic should I make a blog …. utter confusion …. all the thoughts and guess where I landed …. Orkut …… and made my first blog then and there ….. worked 3 – 4 days on the same …..

At this point I made my first mistake ….. It appeared to me that more blogs will mean more money …. I didn’t realize I was better paid off making 1 blog earning me 100$ than investing in 100 blogs making 1$ each….. before I realized this I was already into blogs on softwares , e-books , games , symbian phones and orkut …. too late ….. only one way out …. try and manage them somehow …

Second mistake what I made in a span of few days ….. clicking on the ads sounded cool …. 70$ in three weeks …. felt like a millionare ….. oh yeah ! placed in first year itself …… one nice sunday morning …. I opened my adsense account and TADAA ….. your account is removed for fraudelent acctivities …. good going mr. google …… keep it up….. dreams shattered ….. and now here I am with a new account ….. with 1$ in a week ….. and with a reminder of a lesson I learnt in , may be nursery, that “HASTE MAKES WASTE”….
